Livewire Selected for Top Denver Concert Venue
Lower ticket prices and increased customer convenience are driving factors
2003—Livewire Kiosk announced today that its TicketEngine™
ticket selling kiosk system has been installed by “The Soiled Dove”, Denver’s top concert venue.
Located in the world famous Lower-Downtown Denver, Colorado area, affectionately known as
LoDo, The Soiled Dove offers a selection of entertainment, ranging from premier local talent to
national recording artists in all styles of music. The 500 seat Soiled Dove is known as Denver’s
“Intimate Concert Venue”, typically hosting local concerts three to five nights per week.
Prior to this installation, the Soiled Dove had been using another large ticket vendor to allow its
customers to purchase tickets on the web. The system delivered by Livewire allows customers to
purchase tickets at the wall-mounted kiosk, or they can reserve the tickets on the Soiled Dove’s
web site (www.soileddove.com) and then pick
them up at the kiosk on the night of the show.
“We were impressed with Livewire’s ski kiosks and approached them to help us,” said Soiled
Dove’s owner, Frank Schultz. “Our old system added exorbitant convenience fees to our tickets
and didn’t integrate well with our in-house ticket sales. The system that Livewire provided us not
only solved those problems, but we even added a “will-call” capability to our web site. Customers
can reserve tickets in advance and then pick them up at the kiosk on the night of the show.”
Roy Smith, Livewire’s President said, “We believe that our TicketEngine self-service technology
can be applied in a wide variety of situations, such as the Soiled Dove. We installed the kiosk in
early May and it is now fully operational. We are very pleased with the system that we developed
for Soiled Dove and, judging by the ticket sales and comments from customers, the Soiled Dove’s
customers are pleased as well”
