Livewire Kiosk & Compaq Computers Strike Partnership
Livewire Kiosk announced an agreement today with Compaq Computers,
Inc. that forms a strategic alliance for the two companies. Under the proposed
agreement, Compaq will provide engineering services, development equipment and
resources for utilization in pilot systems in Livewire’s national network of
retail kiosks. Livewire will work with Compaq to further develop system integration
and management of Internet-based, interactive technology. “This partnership
arrangement puts focus on company strengths for both of us.” stated John Holbert,
